First Piece of Clothing!!

So I took a challenge and made this skirt. I got the idea from Kayli because she made one for her little girl. Obviously I don't have a girl to make it for but I figured I could save it. I am going to try it on Chandler but he is sleeping right now. Steve said just don't show him and DON'T take pictures:) I used Chandler's measurements for it....haha....poor Chandler.

The pattern is from a website Kayli found. I think it was really hard to make. Mine came out a little too bunchy and I don't have an elastic for the waist yet so I just put a ribbon in for now.
I also stole Kayli's felt flower idea and made one to match the skirt. You could also put it on those headbands for babies but I don't have any of those yet.

Just incase you were wondering........I tried the skirt on Chandler this morning and if he was a girl......he would be the cutest thing ever!!! It looked *SO* CUTE!!! Now I need to find a cute little girl to wear it. Maybe I'll send it to Chandler's cousin Katie? Do you want it Kim?

Kind of lame commenting on my own blog but I didn't feel like updating the post:)

I think it looks great! You got that fabric from Wal-Mart, right? Cause I totally used the same, except yellow, in the last skirt I made for Elena's dress.
It doesn't seem too bunchy from the picture---was it hard to gather? Just an idea, but maybe it had something to do with the kind of thread you used? I only wonder because when I was making the bonnet, I had this red thread and it was AWFUL--I think it was mostly rayon and it was always breaking, and when I tried to gather it was just horrible.

Anyway, way to go! I'm dying to see pictures of Chandler in it, but I understand the whole husband-might-kill-you thing. And the flower is so cute too! Looked great in your hair. ;)
