emery's dresses

I love sewing for my girl.  Almost a year ago I bought this pattern online.  I had seen it on a website where she used the pattern and then made tons of different versions of the dress.  I loved it and wanted to try it out myself.  I'm so glad I did.  So far I have only made 4 dresses.  

I made this one last Summer.  

Then I finally pulled out the pattern again and made up this one for Easter.

I made the sleeves different on this one. They are longer and the elastic is about an inch in so they have a ruffle on the end.

And I have to say this one is probably my favorite.  So simple yet very fancy looking:)  The grey is a pinstriped linen type fabric and I think the ruffle is lining fabric.  I just found a nice looking silky lightweight fabric so it wouldn't be too heavy.

I can't wait to make even more.  I have so many ideas floating around in my head.  It's all a matter of finding the perfect fabric and finding the time!
